形態特徵

• Large climbing shrubs; young shoots rusty hairy.
• Leaves ovate to oblong, 10–15 cm long, apex acuminate or acute, base obtuse or rounded, entire, coriaceous, stellate-hairy when young, becoming glabrate. Cymes capitate, with an involucre of 6 spatulate bracts, bracts 2–3 cm long, rusty-hairy.
• Flowers sessile; calyx ca. 3 mm long, tawny-tomentose, 4 or 5-toothed, teeth triangular; corolla pale yellow, the corolla-tube nearly as long as the calyx, limb 4–5-lobed, lobes obovate, 3–4 mm long.
• Fruit globose, ca. 6 mm in diameter, glabrous, enclosed in the persistent calyx.

分布

• 世界 : India, Malaysia and southern China.

引證標本

Moldenke and Moldenke (1971) recorded the species from Taiwan. However, no specimens have been seen. The description given above is copied from Hsiao's treatment of 1978.
